This is a family foundation, formed and funded by the Pattamasaevi family. The foundation was named after the late Khun Niyom Pattamasaevi, Khun Narong’s father, to honor his dedication to the services of Buddhism, and his roles in promoting basic education among young people in his community. He passed away on the 12th of December 1996, yet his quest to better the lives of others continues through this Foundation.
On the 24th of October 1999, a group of organizers chaired by Khun Narong Pattamasaevi decided to formalize the family’s charitable works by forming a foundation and proceeded to file an application with the Office of the National Culture Commission. The Commission approved the application and Niyom Pattamasaevi Foundation was officially established on December 14th 1999.
